Hello Amateur Racers,
If you are wanting to come to Bend, to race the Cascade Cycling Classic and are having a problem finding lodging, we just came up with a potential solution. Central Oregon Community College is graciously allowing riders to stay at their brand new Residence Hall. We just toured the facility and it is very nice! And it’s near where the last day’s race will start and finish, right off of Mt. Washington Drive.
There is a limited number of rooms that we will reserve on a first come first serve basis. You have up until July 8th to reserve a room with me, unless we sell out prior to this date. I will handle the reservations. Please email me what type of room you would like. If you have teammates that would like to be in the same suite/room, make sure you let me know. I think that we are going to have an overwhelming response because there is no place in Bend that offers this affordable option. So if you are interested please do not delay and reserve your room ASAP!
Here are the lodging options:
- There are suites that have two rooms with 2 single beds in each room. There is a shared bathroom and 2 sinks outside of the bathroom and a shower. The rate for this room is $30 per night. You must have a roommate to reserve one of these rooms.
- There are suites with four private rooms each with one bed which run $50 per night. You will still share a bathroom with 3 other people, there are also 2 sinks outside of the bathroom and shower in these suites as well.
- You can also reserve a single occupancy double room so you don’t have to have a roommate, for $60 a night. Still would be sharing a bathroom but with only 2 people as opposed to 3.
A few other items to note:
Each room comes with linens, and a towel.
There is no air conditioning, but each room has a window that can be opened, you may also want to bring a fan.
There is no food service, but a number of restaurants within a few mile radius. The rooms do not have refrigerators or microwaves.
The dorm is located near the Shevlin Park/Mt. Washington roundabout on the westside of town.
The rooms are available for 3 or 4 nights, checking in July 20 or July 21 and checking out July 24.
All rooms must be prepaid with a credit card or cash/check.
If this lodging option works for you, please email me as soon as possible to reserve your room.
